Things I Have to Say

I have all sorts of things to say
about the things I have to say,

but, very little to say
about the things I’ve already said.

Sometimes, it’s because
if I’d had more to say

about the things I’ve said
I would’ve said them. But,

usually it’s because
I don’t remember

what I was saying
in the first place.
