Brief Instructions on How to Make the World New

Never regret anything that happens
in the Fall

when the weather turns
people turn

cold; leaves fall, walls
you fall

you want to drift riverwards
down Landon with the leaves, don’t

regret anything that happens
in the Fall

put on something heavy
weigh yourself down, sing

drive the season through
put the grace back

back in your graceless line
