A Shoe Story

There are 4 types
of shoe-lovers,

it seems to me.
There is the

shoe-lover
who has,

at last count,
lost count.

There is the
shoe-lover

who loves,
to despair,

their one
lonely pair.

Shoe-lover
Number 3

thinks it would be

fun to find one
to keep

company with
the other one.

Example 4
we should

probably ignore
as they

stand in
barefeet

on the floor.
I wouldn’t even

want to hazard
a guess

which one
really loves

shoes the best.
But, I would

definitely
pay to see

a picture
of #4 tying

#1’s laces
together.
