We’re Re-enacting The Charge of the Light Brigade

Only it’s going turn out different this time
It’s still going to be beautiful
but it’s going to be
the right war.

The question is
how to go about it.

I’m not even sure how far
half a league is,
but it seems like a long way
and I’m lazy
so we’ll shorten it up
to two furlongs.

We won’t quite make the 600,
but I got a bunch of cousins
so we’ll get close.

I know where we can get one horse
but, I’m sorry, the rest of those boys
will just have to make do.

I’m sure we can find some Russians around,
so that shouldn’t be a problem.

Let’s not even bother
with the artillery, wasn’t
that what screwed it all up
the first time?

This isn’t going to be an easy thing,
but I can promise you,
it’s gonna turn out different this time.
It’s still going to to be beautiful
but it’s going to be
the right war.

This isn’t going to be an easy thing,
but that’s how it goes
when you’re trying to re-enact
The Charge of the Light Brigade
with what you have on hand.

Yeah, you’re right, though,
we’re probably still
gonna have to try and make a run
through the whole half a league.
